The air-conditioning evaporator is a small radiator inside the dashboard that provides cold air within a vehicle’s engine.. The evaporator is located inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle, often times buried deep within the instrument panel. Vehicles that have two evaporators generally have the second located towards the rear of the vehicle behind a side panel, or above the rear passenger seats.
